PERSONA URANIUM

Uranium glass was discovered long time ago in ancient Roman times,

found in masaic that contain 1% uranium oxide. And sice then it was popular

for its radiant effect that turns glass into greeny yellowish glowing mass.

I used uranium glass in PERSONA sculptures, to hilight natural property of flowing glass

and underline clean basic form which it surrounds.

Producing identical copies of the same regularly shaped vase versus creating
individual objects by letting the hot glass shape itself irregularly in its own natural
way and only assisting in the process while respecting the characteristics of the material.
Just as human personality that can either (try to) fit into a predesigned role and play
a predefined character or grow FREELY and instinctively layer by layer into an
AUTHENTIC being.
